the market
patches, priced by the people who made them. browsing needs nothing; buying and selling need an account, because what you buy has to belong to somebody and what you sell has to be paid to somebody.
selling
stripe holds the identity, the bank details and the payouts — patchfields never sees any of them. a free listing needs none of this.
put a patch up
this is the whole shop window. the patch itself — its bricks, its cables, its knobs — goes nowhere until somebody has paid for it, so what a stranger sees is this picture and the words you write.
leave the price empty and it is free — a free listing is delivered on the spot and needs no payouts set up. patches only: a listing carries bricks, cables and knobs, never media files.
patchfields takes a cut of each sale and stripe takes its processing fee; the rest is paid to the seller by stripe on stripe's own schedule. a refund is arranged with the seller and issued in stripe. what is sold here is a patch — a file of bricks and numbers — so treat what you buy the way the person who made it asked you to.
