an account is a username, an email and a password. the username is the name your posts carry and the page they stand on at /@you, your posts stay yours to take down, and your hearts follow you to any device. google is the same account by another door.
without one you can read the board and put a heart on anything; posting takes an account, because every post here carries a name.
this is your page —
post a patch
posting as — it lands on your page and stays yours to take down.
your patch is waiting here — sign in and it is one press away. it stays in this link, so making an account first loses nothing.
the board runs on accounts. every patch here carries the name of whoever put it there, and stays theirs to take down — so posting is something an account does, the way a thread on the forum is.
patches only — a post carries bricks, cables and knobs, never media files. every post is public; members can take their own down.
